Job summary

The City of Homestead is seeking a Strategic Initiative Project Manager to advance the citywide Strategic Plan, performance management framework, and high-priority initiatives. This role involves complex project management, grants and advocacy support, and cross-department collaboration to align with organizational goals and community priorities.

Qualifications

• Must have a minimum of five years of demonstrated experience in project management, strategic planning, performance management, technology solution implementation, and grant administration.
• Project Management Professional certification is preferred and must be obtained within 12 months of hire.
• Municipal or public-sector experience strongly preferred.
• Must have excellent knowledge of all Microsoft Software, including MS Projects and SharePoint programs.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing, implementing, and managing the City’s Strategic Plan and performance management framework.
• Provide grants and advocacy support and coordinate cross-departmental collaboration for strategic initiatives.
• Develop briefing materials, dashboards, reports, and presentations for senior leadership and City Council related to enterprise projects and strategic initiatives.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and innovation in enterprise system implementations and strategic initiatives.
