The City of Myrtle Beach is seeking a Special Events Coordinator to develop, plan, implement and manage festivals, concerts and seasonal events. You will act as on-site coordinator, directing event staff and volunteers while applying policies and operating procedures to ensure successful events.

Responsibilities include coordinating with community stakeholders, venues, permits, and vendors; drafting contracts; overseeing budgets, logistics, and evaluations; and ensuring compliance with city

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in parks, recreation, event management or closely related field.
• 2 years of experience in planning and executing special events; or 5 years’ experience if no degree

• Supervise event staff and volunteers, provide training, and develop written protocols.
