Job summary

City of Prescott seeks an Emergency Manager for the Fire Department to lead city-wide all-hazard preparedness, mitigation, response and recovery efforts. You will develop and manage plans, budgets, and training, coordinating with local agencies to ensure readiness for disasters.

The role requires ICS/NIMS certifications, strong analytical writing and public leadership, and entails supervising EOC staff and incident support across city departments.

Qualifications

• AA or AS in Homeland Security, Emergency Management, Public Administration, Business Management or related field with 3 years related experience.
• Bachelor's degree preferred; 5 years in emergency/disaster management preferred.

Responsibilities

• Reviews and analyzes emergency management plans; recommends revisions and updates.
• Coordinates and maintains city-wide EOC operations and incident action plans.
• Plans and conducts emergency training exercises involving multiple agencies.
