Job summary

The City of Denton is seeking a customer service representative to assist residents by phone, electronically and in person with payments, inquiries and service requests. You will handle cash and payments, process mail, and support solid waste and billing operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, at least one year in customer service and cash handling experience, with solid knowledge of Microsoft Office 365.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; and,
• One year customer service experience; and,
• Six months of cash handling experience.

Responsibilities

• Handle heavy phone traffic for departments Citywide.
• Provide phone, electronic and face-to-face support to customers and process payments.
• Assist with interdepartmental cash and reporting/tracking functions.
• Receive, maintain, and account for monies and provide payment receipts; ensure compliance with cash handling policies.
