Job summary

The City of Pierre seeks a passionate Project Manager to coordinate and oversee projects across city departments. You will lead special projects, negotiate, draft, and administer contracts, MOUs, easements, permits, and resolutions; and inspect projects through final payment and close out.

Requirements include a bachelor’s degree in engineering, project management or related field; public administration experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage projects across multiple city departments.
• Lead and oversee special projects and prepare estimates, bid documents, plans and specifications.
• Negotiate, draft, and administer contracts, memoranda of understanding, easements, permits, resolutions, and miscellaneous agreements.
• Inspect projects through final payment and close out; identify critical infrastructure needs and risk mitigation.
• Present analyses and recommendations to the City Commission.
