City and County of San Francisco is seeking a skilled plumber under the Office of the City Administrator, Real Estate Division. The role involves maintenance and repair of water, sewer, and plumbing systems across City facilities, with emphasis on code compliance and safe work practices in varied environments.

Responsibilities include installing and repairing fixtures, piping, valves, and backflow prevention equipment, while maintaining records and coordinating with multiple City departments.

Formación

• Completion of the recognized Apprenticeship program.
• Possession of a valid California driver’s license.
• Backflow certification is required.
• Notes: 2000-hour equivalence for one year full-time employment; overtime not counted.

Responsabilidades

• Perform plumbing duties in building alterations, maintenance and repair projects.
• Install, alter, repair, and replace plumbing fixtures and systems (water, sanitary, drainage, heating, gas).
• Thread, ream, assemble, caulk, solder and weld pipes and components.
• Maintain records and reports as required.
• Assist in selecting and stocking plumbing supplies and equipment.
• Identify leaks and clear clogged drains and traps.
• Oversee maintenance of valves, fittings, and plumbing equipment.
• Adhere to City policies and safety requirements.
• Work in occupied buildings and historic structures with care to preserve finishes.
• Perform related duties as required.
