Job summary

City and County of San Francisco, via the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission, seeks a skilled plumber for the Chlorine Contact Tank Piping Reconfiguration project at Sunol Valley. Under general supervision, you will perform installation, repair, and maintenance of water, sewer, and related piping systems and ensure safety compliance in hazardous environments.

The role requires completion of the Plumber Apprenticeship program, a California driver license, and the ability to work at SFPUC

Qualifications

• Completion of the recognized plumber apprenticeship program.
• Possession of a valid California driver's license.
• Ability to read plans and blueprints for plumbing projects.
• Experience with backflow prevention devices is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Perform plumbing duties for building alterations, maintenance and repairs.
• Install, alter, repair, or replace piping for water, sewage, drainage and gas systems.
• Install and service plumbing fixtures including toilets and sinks.
• Troubleshoot leaks using blueprints and locating equipment.
• Work with engineers on system alteration designs.
