The entry-level position requires California certification, a plumber apprenticeship or C-36 license, and a valid driver’s license; IAPMO/UPC certification is required within one year of appointment.

Competenze

• Completion of plumbing apprenticeship certified by the State of California and three years journey-level experience, or a C-36 license with eight years in the trade.
• Possession of a valid California driver’s license.
• UPC Residential and Commercial Plumbing Inspector Certification required within one year of appointment.

Mansioni

• Inspects plumbing, mechanical, gas appliance, low-pressure boiler and fire sprinkler work for compliance with codes; approves plans and specs.
• Explains codes, laws and procedures related to plumbing and mechanical installations.
• Maintains regular contact with construction professionals, the public and other departments regarding inspections and code enforcement.
• Provides written and oral inspection reports and coordinates with other inspection groups as needed.
