Job summary

Seattle Finance and Administrative Services seeks a temporary Delivery Worker for the Facility Operations Division. The role involves a route that may be walking or driving, delivering interoffice mail, US Mail, office supplies, and record boxes within the City of Seattle and King County.

The candidate must communicate clearly with staff, use handheld scanners, and maintain daily logs. This is a non-exempt position eligible for overtime.

Qualifications

• One year of delivery and/or courier, warehousing, or shipping & receiving experience (or equivalent background)
• Current and valid Washington State driver's license with a clean driving record

Responsibilities

• Pick-up and deliver interoffice mail, US Mail, office supplies, equipment, packages, and record boxes to designated City departments on pre-assigned routes.
• Receive and sort packages; code and prepare mail and packages for delivery.
• Deliver packages using handheld scanners to scan and sign for packages.
• Process outgoing US Mail and packages.
• Answer phone and email questions related to mail, deliveries, and pickups.
