Job summary

Raytheon is seeking a Field Service Representative to support the Commander’s Independent Thermal Viewer (CITV) activities in Lima, OH. The role requires interfacing with customers, troubleshooting CITV systems, and performing installation/testing tasks in a hybrid environment.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of field engineering experience or an advanced degree with 2+ years, and the ability to obtain/maintain a DoD Secret clearance. Some CONUS travel is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of relevant field experience, or an advanced degree with 2+ years.
• Ability to obtain/maintain a U.S. government security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.
• Field engineering experience maintaining electronic equipment.
• Experience with U.S. Army M1 A2 Abrams MBT subsystems.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support and interface with the external customer.
• Troubleshoot system problems and oversee repairs under home-office direction.
• Test, inspect, and repair the CITV system during installation and platform testing.
• Provide training to customer personnel on operation, maintenance, and inspection procedures.
• Analyze equipment failures to determine cause and recommend corrective action.
• Advise on design changes to improve equipment efficiency and reduce operating cost.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs and maintain performance records.
• Oversee installation, checkout, operation, maintenance/repair, and modification of equipment.
• Some CONUS travel is required.
