Job summary

The City of Somerville is seeking a Coordinator to lead program evaluation of CIT trainings, review policy, and implement initiatives at the local level. You will oversee data collection, develop evaluation tools, and act as the primary contact for law enforcement partners to provide technical assistance and schedule meetings to advance CIT goals.

The role requires advanced data handling, curriculum evaluation, and the ability to coordinate statewide stakeholders while supporting public health

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree preferred with 3+ years in program evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Base location at Police Department with frequent travel in metro-Boston area to partner departments.
• Work with Crime Analyst and COHR Director to identify calls for service related to behavioral health.
• Provide consultation to partner police departments on mission statements and CIT goals.
• Review COHR and CIT data collection for accurate documentation; develop coding to capture work products.
• Conduct ongoing program evaluation of CIT trainings and certifications; ensure objectives are met.
• Create systems to streamline information sharing and client documentation.
• Document emerging community CIT models with public health and safety integration.
• Coordinate events, marketing, and registrations; inform and perform scenario-based training.
• Maintain database of community resources for MB CIT region with monthly updates.
