Job summary

IT Resources in Indianapolis seeks an experienced Cisco VoIP Installation Technician to support enterprise voice deployments, install and troubleshoot Cisco IP phones, and maintain documentation. You will work hands-on in customer-facing environments across the Indianapolis area, coordinating with network teams and following change management procedures.

The role requires 3+ years of Cisco VoIP installation and CUCM experience, strong networking knowledge, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Cisco VoIP installation and support experience
• Hands-on experience with Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM)
• Experience deploying and troubleshooting Cisco IP Phones
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking fundamentals
• Knowledge of VLANs, DHCP, DNS, and Quality of Service (QoS)
• Experience supporting SIP trunking and voice gateway environments
• Ability to read and interpret network diagrams and technical documentation
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and deploy Cisco IP phones and VoIP hardware
• Perform voice service moves, adds, changes, and disconnects
• Support CUCM deployments and upgrades
• Install and troubleshoot Cisco voice gateways, analog gateways, and related equipment
• Diagnose and resolve VoIP registration, connectivity, and call quality issues
• Coordinate site readiness activities and validate voice network requirements
• Install, terminate, label, and test voice and network cabling
• Participate in voice migrations, cutovers, and system upgrades
• Maintain accurate installation, inventory, and configuration documentation
• Partner with network engineering teams to support VLAN, DHCP, DNS, and QoS requirements
• Provide technical support and assistance to end users
• Follow established change management, safety, and security procedures
