Job summary

CCPS - Lloyd C. Bird High School is seeking a Communities In Schools (CIS) Coordinator to lead planning, development, delivery, and evaluation of resources and services for students.

You will connect student and school needs to community partners, and implement a data-driven CIS model at the school site. You will lead needs assessments, develop a Site Plan with measurable objectives, recruit volunteers, and monitor service effectiveness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in education, school counseling, social work, or related field.
• Valid VA Driver’s License.
• Experience with at-risk students and diverse communities.
• Ability to communicate in Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the annual school needs assessment based on data from districts and schools.
• Develop and implement the CIS Site Plan with measurable objectives.
• Coordinate and deliver school-wide and targeted services.
• Recruit and coordinate community volunteers to support identified needs.
• Prepare regular reports for CIS and school leadership.
