The position requires a Bachelor's degree, 5+ years of customer service experience (preferably in libraries), and scheduling flexibility for evenings and Sundays.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 5+ years of direct customer service experience, preferably in public libraries.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• General computer skills (word processing, internet search).
• Ability to present information clearly by phone, computer, and in person.
• Enthusiasm for learning and adapting to new ideas/technologies.
• Strong interpersonal and judgmental skills for busy library environment.
• Ability to work with adults, teens, and youth and support library services for all ages.
• Scheduling flexibility with evenings and weekends.

Responsabilidades

• Maintains desk schedules for two public service points to cover all open hours.
• Provide supervision for Clerks, scheduling and delegating tasks.
• Assist library users with checking out materials and accessing accounts.
• Assist users with online catalog, e-resources, computers, copiers and print management.
• Manage the MelCat interlibrary loan process.
• Process bills and other financial documents related to patron services.
• Participate in library initiatives and community outreach.
• Act as a Person-in-Charge as needed.
