Job summary

Zaden Technologies is seeking a Cybersecurity and IT Governance Lead (TS/SCI) to direct IT strategy, security program leadership, and governance for a DoD cyber mission customer in the Baltimore-Washington area. You will be the primary CIO-facing contact, accountable for IT strategy, budget, and information security, coordinating risk management and audits.

The role requires active TS/SCI clearance, 5+ years at CIO/deputy‑CIO level, and a proven track record in budgeting and security leadership.

Qualifications

Five+ years at CIO or deputy-CIO level accountable for IT leadership and information security.
Experience in IT strategic planning and workforce planning.
Experience in IT budgeting, investment management, and privacy program leadership.

Responsibilities

Implement and maintain compliance frameworks such as NIST RMF, ISO 27001 or CMMC across the enterprise.
Oversee cybersecurity risk assessments, vulnerability testing, and audits.
Coordinate work across project teams and manage cross-team dependencies.
Lead crisis response during major incidents: detection, containment and recovery.
Oversee third-party security vendors and ensure compliance with customer security standards.
Drive a security-first culture through organization-wide cybersecurity education and training.
