Intec Select Limited in New York is assisting an established financial services trading business to appoint a Chief Information Officer. The role reports to the CEO and leads technology strategy, infrastructure and operations across a complex estate.

The CIO will guide a significant modernisation programme, balance on-premise and cloud workloads, drive resilience and security, and build a high-performing team while partnering with business leaders on data and AI readiness.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in technology leadership in financial services.
• Experience leading teams of 50+ and senior managers.
• Proven track record of large cloud/infra modernisation.
• Hands-on understanding of high availability and low latency trading environments.
• Strong vendor management and cost-reduction experience.
• Deep understanding of regulated environments and cyber security.
• Excellent communication with boards and exec teams.
• Experience with data platforms and AI adoption is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Own and deliver the technology strategy aligned to growth and regulatory obligations.
• Shape cloud and virtualisation strategy across on-premise, private and public clouds.
• Oversee infrastructure modernisation and migration with minimal disruption.
• Build and lead a high-performing technology leadership team.
• Drive cost optimisation across licensing, vendors and contracts.
• Ensure resilience, continuity and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with the CISO on cyber security and data readiness.
• Report to the CEO and board on risk, investment and performance.
