Job summary

The Church of Eleven22® is seeking an Accountant to join our Finance team. This full-time role reports to the Controller and supports month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance for the church and its ministries.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, 3–5 years of accounting experience, and familiarity with non-profit accounting. This position is based in Jacksonville, FL, with standard church work hours and a focus on

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is strongly preferred.
• Three to five years of accounting experience across various concepts, practices and procedures.
• Non-profit accounting experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare month-end close by compiling and analysing all account information.
• Post and process journal entries to ensure all transactions are recorded.
• Review and prepare balance sheet reconciliations and other reports.
• Support day-to-day activities such as cash receipts, disbursements and general ledger maintenance.
• Manage lease accounting in accordance with ASC 842 and related entries.
• Support audit fieldwork and provide required documents in a timely manner.
