Milestone Church is seeking an Accountant to manage day-to-day nonprofit accounting, ensure accurate financial reporting, and support the annual audit and budgeting processes. You will handle journal entries, monthly close, donor-restricted funds, and internal controls with integrity.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor's in Accounting and at least 3 years of accounting experience, with proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel; discretion and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• 3+ years of accounting experience.
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
• Strong understanding of nonprofit accounting standards.
• Ability to handle donor-restricted funds with proper classification.
• Maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain nonprofit and church-specific accounting standards.
• Oversee accounting for tithes, offerings, and donor-restricted funds.
• Ensure monthly close processes and financial statement accuracy.
• Evaluate internal controls and implement improvements.
• Maintain accounting policies and best practices.
• Partner with ministry leaders on budget tracking.
