The Salvation Army in Austin, TX is seeking a Seasonal Driver for November through December to support Christmas Angel Tree and Kettle program transportation. The orientation day and first workday begin in mid‑November, and the position offers a flexible schedule with weekend availability.
Responsibilities include driving non‑DOT vans or trucks to move volunteers, gifts, and donations between locations, loading and unloading as needed, and maintaining vehicle cleanliness and safety.

Seasonal Position - November - December (Required orientation day and first day of work beginning second week of November)
Schedule/Hours: Mon-Saturday availability (full-time and part-time options) 30-40 hours per week - variable scheduling
Drives vans or trucks (Non-DOT) to assigned locations for Corps/Area Command Christmas Angel Tree program donations and gifts and/or Christmas Kettle program transportation of bell ringers to designated worksites; ensures the safety, security and accountability of the vehicle and donations at all times.
Assists with general clean-up work at the Corps, warehouse facility or assigned location as needed. Assists with routing of traffic, when necessary, at the Corps and/or Area Command warehouse locations during Christmas Angel Tree distribution as requested. Assists with setting up trees, tables and stands for Christmas display and disassembling at the end of the Christmas Season. Performs other related work as required.
Knowledge of The Salvation Army mission, philosophy, culture, protocol, and organizational structure. Knowledge of the assigned geographic area. Ability to organize route in a manner that saves time and gasoline consumption. Ability to work effectively and cooperatively with co-workers and donors. Ability to follow instructions. Ability to present a positive and professional image of The Salvation Army.
Work is performed outside with exposure to changes in weather and outdoor conditions including dirt, dust and/or disagreeable sights and odors.
High School diploma or GED And a minimum of two years driving experience.
Valid Texas Driver’s License
