Job summary

The Salvation Army is seeking a Seasonal Christmas Driver in Lansing, MI to deliver and pick up kettles and bell ringers on an assigned route. You will keep vehicles clean, log maintenance and mileage, and report issues to your supervisor.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED (or equivalent) and being at least 18 years old; a valid driver’s license with chauffeur endorsement and Safe From Harm training are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Proficient in MS Office 365 and basic computer use.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and pick-up bell ringers and kettles on an assigned route.
• Maintain vehicle(s) and ensure cleanliness for next use.
• Keep accurate maintenance and mileage logs; report safety/maintenance needs.
• Communicate any problems to supervisor promptly.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Deliver and pick-up bell ringers and kettles on an assigned route
• Maintain vehicle(s), being sure it is cleaned and prepared for next use
• Keep accurate maintenance and mileage logs, report any safety or maintenance needs for the vehicle
• Communicate any problems to supervisor
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Education/Experience:

• High school diploma or GED (preferred), or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
• At least 18 years old

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:

Computer Skills:

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365
• Basic computer knowledge

Certificates and Licenses:

• Must have and maintain a valid drivers’ license with a chauffeur’s endorsement and pass The Salvation Army Motor Vehicle (MVR) check
• Complete Safe From Harm training, and keep current as needed
