Job summary

The Salvation Army in Lansing, MI is seeking a Seasonal Christmas Driver responsible for delivery and pickup of bell ringers and kettles to assigned locations on a timely basis. The role may also support other seasonal driving tasks as needed.

Responsibilities include maintaining the vehicle, logging maintenance and mileage, reporting safety concerns, communicating with a supervisor, and performing other duties.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED (preferred).
• At least 18 years old.
• Must have and maintain a valid driver's license with chauffeur’s endorsement and pass MVR check.
• Complete Safe From Harm training and keep current.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and pick-up bell ringers and kettles on an assigned route.
• Maintain vehicle(s), keeping it clean and ready for next use.
• Keep accurate maintenance and mileage logs and report safety/maintenance needs.
• Communicate any problems to supervisor.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Deliver and pick-up bell ringers and kettles on an assigned route
• Maintain vehicle(s), being sure it is cleaned and prepared for next use
• Keep accurate maintenance and mileage logs, report any safety or maintenance needs for the vehicle
• Communicate any problems to supervisor
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Education/Experience:

• High school diploma or GED (preferred), or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
• At least 18 years old

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:

Computer Skills:

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365
• Basic computer knowledge

Certificates and Licenses:

• Must have and maintain a valid drivers’ license with a chauffeur’s endorsement and pass The Salvation Army Motor Vehicle (MVR) check
• Complete Safe From Harm training, and keep current as needed
