Job summary

The Salvation Army USA Central Territory is seeking a Christmas driver to handle delivery and pick-up of bell ringers and kettles across assigned locations. The role may also support other seasonal driving tasks as needed.

Responsibilities include routing, vehicle maintenance, accurate logs, and clear communication with a supervisor. A high school diploma or GED and at least 18 years old are expected, with a valid driver’s license and chauffeur endorsement required.

Qualifications

• Must be able to use Microsoft Office 365 for basic recordkeeping.
• Basic computer literacy and comfort with common software platforms.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and pick up kettles at assigned locations on the route.
• Maintain vehicles, keep them clean and ready for next use.
• Log maintenance and mileage and report safety issues to supervisor.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Position Summary: The Christmas driver is responsible for delivery and pick up of bell ringers and kettles to the assigned locations in a timely manner. May also help with other seasonal driving responsibilities.

• Deliver and pick-up bell ringers and kettles on an assigned route
• Maintain vehicle(s), being sure it is cleaned and prepared for next use
• Keep accurate maintenance and mileage logs, report any safety or maintenance needs for the vehicle
• Communicate any problems to supervisor
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Education/Experience:

• High school diploma or GED (preferred), or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
• At least 18 years old

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:

Computer Skills:

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365
• Basic computer knowledge

Certificates and Licenses:

• Must have and maintain a valid drivers’ license with a chauffeur’s endorsement and pass The Salvation Army Motor Vehicle (MVR) check
• Complete Safe From Harm training, and keep current as needed
