Job summary

The Salvation Army in Michigan is seeking a Christmas Driver responsible for delivering and picking up bell ringers and kettles along the assigned route, ensuring timely service and proper vehicle readiness.

Candidates should be at least 18, have a high school diploma or GED, and a valid driver's license with chauffeur endorsement. Proficiency with MS Office 365 and basic computer use is expected; training in Safe From Harm is required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and pick-up bell ringers and kettles on an assigned route
• Maintain vehicle(s), ensuring cleanliness and readiness for next use
• Keep accurate maintenance and mileage logs and report safety or maintenance needs
• Communicate any problems to supervisor
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Deliver and pick-up bell ringers and kettles on an assigned route
• Maintain vehicle(s), being sure it is cleaned and prepared for next use
• Keep accurate maintenance and mileage logs, report any safety or maintenance needs for the vehicle
• Communicate any problems to supervisor
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education/Experience

• High school diploma or GED (preferred), or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
• At least 18 years old

Computer Skills

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365
• Basic computer knowledge

Certificates and Licenses

• Must have and maintain a valid drivers’ license with a chauffeur’s endorsement and pass The Salvation Army Motor Vehicle (MVR) check
• Complete Safe From Harm training, and keep current as needed
