Job summary

Howard Payne University seeks qualified instructors to teach math methods and/or science methods for the upcoming term. Adjunct faculty provide instruction and fulfill essential duties for the assigned courses.

Applicants should hold a master’s degree (doctorate preferred) with university teaching experience; knowledge of faith integration is valued. The appointment is temporary for a single semester, with courses taught both online and in person where available.

Qualifications

• Education and Experience – Master’s or Doctoral degree with university teaching experience (online or in person) at the undergraduate level preferred.
• Minimum qualifications include a Master’s degree in Biblical studies, Christian Studies, Biblical Languages, Divinity, Christian Worship, or Christian Education.
• Eighteen (18) hours of completed coursework in the discipline to be taught.

Responsibilities

• Teaches one or more subjects within the Department for the course(s) appointed for the term.
• Prepares and delivers instruction to students, utilizing various methods (online and/or face-to-face).
• Meets classes as scheduled.
• Grads examinations and other student learning assignments; reports attendance electronically.
