Job summary

Lionheart Children's Academy is seeking an Assistant Teacher to support the classroom team in delivering developmentally appropriate, Christ-centered care for children. You will work under the Lead Teacher and Academy Leadership to maintain a nurturing, safe environment aligned with Lionheart’s mission.

Qualified candidates have a high school diploma or GED, are 18+, and willing to undergo background checks while embracing teamwork, flexibility, and faith-based values.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 18+ years old required.
• Experience in a licensed child care setting preferred.
• Criminal background check required.
• Spiritual alignment with Christ-centered values.

Responsibilities

• Assist with setup, supervision, and facilitation of classroom learning centers, routines, and experiences.
• Partner closely with the Lead Teacher to ensure smooth daily operations and a joyful, unified classroom culture.
• Communicate proactively with staff regarding classroom needs and child updates.
• Assist with housekeeping tasks, sanitizing toys, and restocking supplies.
• Support academy initiatives and special events.
