Job summary

CoolSys, Inc. is seeking a field service technician to service CHP power systems and engine/generator sets across client sites in the United States. The role requires hands-on experience with natural gas engines, CHP equipment, and related controls.

Applicants should be capable of diagnosing complex issues, performing preventative maintenance, and providing detailed reports. A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel are essential to this position.

Qualifications

• Strong reciprocating engine and electrical background with knowledge of internal combustion engines and generator sets.
• Ability to independently diagnose and repair power systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; detail-oriented reporting.

Responsibilities

• Travel to jobsite locations for preventive and corrective maintenance, and troubleshooting of natural gas and biogas engines and CHP equipment.
• Perform engine overhauls, electrical/mechanical testing, calibration and commissioning.
• Provide clear daily reports and maintain service records; communicate findings promptly.
