Responsibilities

• Understand and adhere to all company safety procedures and participate in EHS training.
• Maintain a safe work environment by reporting and fixing safety issues and daily cleaning of work areas.
• Collect and analyze daily boiler and feed water samples per SOPs; adjust as needed to maintain water chemistry within parameters.
• Operate CHP system using DCS and PLCs; monitor KPIs and adjust as necessary.
• Follow SOPs for boiler operations including start-up, shutdown, and other system processes.
• Monitor emissions control equipment to meet requirements.
• Assist in routine maintenance and troubleshoot / report issues to Supervisor.
• Occasionally operate forklift, man lift, scissor lift, skid-steer; support maintenance techs.

CHP/CCS Operator

Duties & Responsibilities

• Understand and adhere to all company safety procedures and participate in regular periodic Environmental, Health, and Safety training.
• Maintain a safe work environment by reporting and fixing potential safety issues and participating in daily cleaning of work areas.
• Collect and analyze daily boiler and feed water samples in accordance with established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Make adjustments as necessary to maintain water chemistry within specified operating parameter.
• Understand acceptable operating parameters of boilers, turbines, compressors, and water treatment systems and report unacceptable variances to appropriate personnel.
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures for boiler operations including start-up, shutdown, and other system processes.
• Monitors emissions control equipment to ensure that equipment maintains specific requirements.
• Participate in routine preventative maintenance of assigned areas. Troubleshoot process and equipment defects and notify the Supervisor when required.
• Utilize Distributed Control System (DCS) and PLCs to operate the CHP system, track key performance indicators, and make necessary adjustments.
• Infrequent use of equipment to include: forklift, man lift, scissor lift, skid-steer, etc.
• Ability to assist maintenance technicians with routine maintenance and repairs.

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements

• Able to work a flexible work schedule with varying days and hours, including call-ins and overtime.
• Able to work outdoors in all seasons and work at heights
• Able climb ladders and stairs and lift up to 100lbs

Compensation & Benefits

The starting wage for this position is $32/hour, with potential adjustments based on skills, experience, and qualifications.
