Job summary

Marquis in Hennepin, Illinois is seeking a CHP/CCS Operator to monitor and control the boiler-house system, collect samples, and ensure safety and compliance. You will operate DCS and PLCs, follow SOPs, and coordinate with maintenance to keep the plant running efficiently.

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma and a willingness to learn; the role involves outdoor work, variable hours, and adherence to strict environmental and safety standards in a federally regulated ethanol

Responsibilities

• Understand and adhere to all safety procedures and participate in EHS training.
• Maintain a safe work environment by reporting and fixing safety issues and cleaning work areas.
• Collect and analyze daily boiler and feed water samples and adjust as needed.
• Understand operating parameters of boilers, turbines, compressors, and water treatment systems; report variances.
• Follow SOPs for boiler operations including start-up and shutdown processes.
• Monitor emissions control equipment to meet requirements.
• Participate in routine preventative maintenance and troubleshoot defects with supervision.
• Utilize DCS and PLCs to operate CHP system and track KPIs.
• Infrequent use of forklift, man lift, scissor lift, skid-steer, etc.
• Assist maintenance technicians with routine maintenance and repairs.
