Job summary

Cambridge Public Schools in Cambridge, Massachusetts seeks a Choice Course Facilitator to lead a 3rd grade math enrichment course. You will work with teachers, coaches and specialists to build multiplication fact fluency using a research-based framework that lifts student identity and agency.

You will develop ready-to-use lessons, routines, games, assessments and strategies aligned with the Grade 3 IM scope and sequence, and you will share best practices for engaging students who do not see

Qualifications

• Three years or more of experience developing and refining math lessons, routines, strategies and assessments.
• Experience with Math Equity Labs or similar equity-focused math initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead a choice course for 3rd grade educators to build multiplication fact fluency.
• Prepare educators to use a research-based framework for teaching multiplication facts.

Job Description

Description of Service Opportunity:

This person will lead a choice course for 3rd grade teachers, coaches and specialists to support 3rd graders with multiplication fact fluency. This course will prepare educators to use a research-based framework to assess and teach multiplication facts in ways that will uplift student identity and agency, especially for students who do not see themselves as strong math thinkers and doers. Educators will walk away with a set of ready-to-implement lessons, routines, games, assessments and strategies that will fit in seamlessly within the IM scope and sequence for Grade 3.

Requirements:

This person must have experience teaching developed and refined lessons, routines, strategies and assessments with 3 years or more of experience with in Math Equity Labs.

Length of Contract

July 1, 2027 through June 30, 2027

Contract Amount

Not exceed $1500.00

Please note that your hourly rate is dependent upon your collective bargaining agreement or individual hourly rate. If you are a non-exemptemployee and have worked more than 40 hours a week, you will be paid time and a half for any hours worked over 40 hours
