Job summary

Excelsia Injury Care in Maryland is seeking a Patient Care/Physical Therapy Assistant to support pre- and post-care, document progress, and help maintain clean exam and treatment rooms. You may travel to other locations to ensure consistent patient coverage and care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• State Certification or enrollment in approved program with 20 observation hours and 520 clinical hours within one year.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients pre and post care by the D.C.
• Take vital signs of patients.
• Perform physical therapy modalities as directed by the D.C.
• Document modalities performed and patient progress notes clearly.
• Maintain cleanliness of exam and treatment rooms at all times.
• Monitor controls on physical therapy equipment.
• Launder towels, gowns, heat pack covers, etc.
• Maintain inventory and order supplies.
• Assist in general office operations: filing, charts, calls, registration, charges, scanning, cleaning.
• Travel to other locations as directed to ensure coverage for quality care.
