Job summary

THE WELL Bay Harbor Islands is seeking a licensed Traditional Chinese Medicine practitioner to deliver acupuncture and associated modalities at our luxury wellness destination. You will assess, educate and treat members within a holistic care framework, while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Ideal candidates hold an active Florida acupuncture license, have 3+ years of experience in TCM, and demonstrate strong communication in English.

• Minimum three (3) years of experience in Traditional Chinese Medicine and acupuncture.
• Proficiency in acupuncture, cupping, gua sha, tui na and related modalities.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive consultations and wellness evaluations using Traditional Chinese Medicine.
• Develop individualized treatment plans and deliver acupuncture.

• Collaborate with other wellness professionals to support integrated experiences.

The Opportunity:

As part of our multidisciplinary wellness community, the Chinese Medicine practitioner provides individualized treatments rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine while supporting each member's broader health and wellbeing journey.

This engagement is ideal for a practitioner who values clinical excellence, patient education, collaboration and a holistic approach to wellness. Practitioners are expected to deliver exceptional care while contributing to an elevated and welcoming member experience.

Scope of Services:

Patient Assessment & Treatment

• Conduct comprehensive consultations, assessments and wellness evaluations utilizing Traditional Chinese Medicine principles and clinical expertise.
• Develop individualized treatment plans designed to support both immediate concerns and long-term wellness goals.
• Deliver acupuncture treatments and related modalities within the scope of licensure and professional training.
• Utilize appropriate treatment techniques and adjunctive therapies, including cupping, gua sha, tui na, electrical stimulation, TDP heat therapy, topical applications, ear seeds, auricular protocols and other modalities within the practitioner’s scope of licensure and professional training and permitted within the Club.
• Provide education and wellness recommendations to support treatment outcomes and ongoing self-care.
• Explain treatment approaches, techniques and recommendations in a manner appropriate to each member's comfort level and understanding.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation, including assessments, treatment plans, SOAP notes and progress records in accordance with professional standards.

Member Experience & Wellness Support

• Foster a professional, compassionate and welcoming treatment environment.
• Build meaningful relationships with members through education, trust and personalized care.
• Encourage members to explore THE WELL's broader wellness offerings as part of a comprehensive approach to health and wellbeing.
• Support member understanding of treatment goals, progress and recommended care plans.
• Communicate professionally and respectfully with members, guests, wellness providers and Club leadership.

Collaborative Care & Professional Integration

• Collaborate with wellness professionals and practitioners to support integrated wellness experiences when appropriate.
• Maintain an understanding of the services and scopes of practice represented within THE WELL's wellness ecosystem.
• Contribute clinical insights and recommendations that support comprehensive member care.
• Participate in professional communication regarding shared members while maintaining appropriate privacy and confidentiality standards.

Professional Standards

• Maintain all required licenses, certifications, malpractice insurance and professional credentials.
• Maintain active out-of-network provider status if applicable to services offered.
• Deliver services in accordance with Florida acupuncture regulations, Clean Needle Technique standards, HIPAA requirements and applicable professional guidelines.
• Maintain confidentiality of member, guest and business information.
• Stay current with industry advancements, research, continuing education and professional best practices.
• Maintain professional standards appropriate to THE WELL's member environment while independently exercising professional judgment regarding the manner and means of providing clinical services.

Treatment Environment & Operational Excellence

• Maintain a clean, safe, organized and professional treatment environment.
• Monitor treatment room supplies and communicate operational needs to the appropriate Club contact.
• Utilize applicable Club systems and platforms necessary to coordinate and deliver services.
• Support the presentation and readiness of treatment spaces and wellness environments.
• Contribute to a positive, welcoming and collaborative wellness community.

Qualifications:

Required

• Active Florida Acupuncture License in good standing.
• Minimum three (3) years of experience practicing Traditional Chinese Medicine and acupuncture.
• Proficiency in acupuncture, cupping, gua sha, tui na and related therapeutic modalities.
• Strong knowledge of Traditional Chinese Medicine principles, treatment planning and patient care.
• Excellent communication, patient education and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English.
• Maintain malpractice insurance and/or evidence of financial responsibility as required by applicable Florida law and the Independent Contractor Agreement.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuing education.

Preferred

• Herbal medicine training and experience.
• Experience within luxury wellness, hospitality, integrative medicine or membership-based environments.
• Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary wellness teams.
• Fluency in Spanish or another second language.
• Utilize applicable Club systems and platforms necessary to coordinate and deliver services, and preferred familiarity with Zenoti, our booking platform..
