Job summary

Johnson Barrow is seeking a remote HVAC/Chiller Service expert to perform start‑ups, troubleshoot, and provide lifecycle service for commercial systems nationwide. You will ensure installed systems operate to spec, deliver comfort and reliability, and work with project teams to close out post‑installation items.

Qualified candidates have 4+ years in commercial HVAC service, strong knowledge of the refrigeration cycle, ability to read wiring schematics, and EPA Type 1 & 2 certification.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in commercial HVAC service or maintenance.
• Advanced command of the refrigeration cycle.
• Expertise reading wiring schematics and methodical troubleshooting.
• EPA Type 1 & 2 Refrigerant Certification required.
• Clear communicator with strong customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Commission and start‑up HVAC equipment; validate operation, setpoints and performance.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance to extend life and efficiency.
• Diagnose and repair issues including electrical faults and refrigerant leaks.
• Confirm safety devices and control logic function properly.
• Document service actions, test results, parts used, and adjustments.
