Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking skilled HVAC technicians to support the fast-growing North America HVAC business. You will be responsible for startup, commissioning, troubleshooting and aftermarket service for residential and/or ducted systems, air cooled and/or water-cooled chillers, AHUs or RTUs.

The role includes providing quotes, prioritizing safety, collaborating with local market mechanics, and completing STA training; travel 10–20% may be required; valid EPA refrigerants license and driver's

Qualifications

• Must be a member or willing to join the United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipe Fitting Industry of the United States and Canada, AFL-CIO; strong HVAC/mechanical troubleshooting experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of practical working experience on residential and/or ducted products, air cooled and/or water-cooled chillers, AHUs or RTUs.
• Valid EPA refrigerants license, applicable state or local licensing, and a valid driver's license; travel 10%–20%.
• Enroll in JCI’s STA training to gain knowledge in HVAC products and sales quoting, with opportunities for career development.

Responsibilities

• Provide our customers with the highest level of service to solve facility inefficiencies and resolve service-related items.
• As a trusted advisor to our customers, provide solutions and outcomes at commissioning and aftermarket service.
• Provide quotes to support recommendations and solutions, including upsell opportunities.
• Prioritize safety in all forms and ensure compliance with training and QA processes.
