Job summary

Little City Foundation seeks a Home Manager for the Children’s Residential Services on the Main Campus in Palatine, IL. The role oversees staffing, programming, budgeting, and environmental maintenance to ensure a safe, nurturing home for youth.

You will supervise staff, coordinate with clinical teams, and ensure regulatory compliance while maintaining strong family engagement and community partnerships.

Qualifications

• Must have 60 semester hours of college credits or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of full-time experience in a residential childcare program.
• Age 25+ with at least one year of supervisory experience.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred with two years supervisory experience.
• Direct Support Professional (DSP) certification or eligibility within 6 months of employment.
• Must possess a current IL valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Provides administrative oversight to staff issues including hiring, supervising, mentoring, disciplining and discharging staff.
• Holds home teams meetings at least once per month to discuss home and youth issues.
• Manages scheduling, staffing, and payroll; ensures training compliance.
• Provides front-line and on-call support as needed and coordinates with HR.
• Collaborates with clinical therapist and case manager on youth treatment goals.
• Maintains financial responsibility for the home and monitors youth funds and budget.
