Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh is seeking a full-time Librarian-Children’s for the Knoxville location. The role supports children ages 0-11 and their families, connecting them to literacy resources, programs, and services across the Pittsburgh region.

The ideal candidate will have MLS/MLIS credentials, strong community engagement skills, and the ability to collaborate with staff to design developmentally appropriate library experiences.

Qualificações

• MLS or MLIS from an ALA-accredited school.
• PA Driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
• Previous experience working with children is required.
• Experience planning and presenting programs for children ages birth to 11 years preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Collaborate with the Library Services Manager and youth staff to execute the Children’s Services vision at CLP—Knoxville.
• Develop, implement, evaluate, and promote programs for children and families, including outreach to schools.
• Establish and maintain relationships with community organizations serving children and families.
• Provide quality reference and readers advisory using print and electronic resources.
• Deliver high-quality customer service in line with CLP’s Standards of Service.
