Job summary

Learning Care Group is seeking a Food Specialist to manage kitchen operations for a school, preparing home-style, nutritious meals within menu and budget constraints while meeting state and federal rules.

Ideal candidates will adapt to menu changes, maintain inventory, and assist in classrooms as needed. The role supports ongoing training, tuition reimbursement, and our Master Teacher Program, with a Monday-Friday schedule.

Qualifications

• Experience cooking/food prep for multiple individuals in a childcare setting.
• Willingness to learn and adhere to state/local regulations.
• Flexibility with hours and schedule.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals and snacks for children and staff.
• Follow daily menu and comply with USDA/licensing/health regulations.
• Maintain inventory and place orders as needed.
• Assist in classrooms as needed as an Assistant Teacher/Floater.
