Job summary

Learning Care Group is seeking a Food Specialist to run kitchen operations for the school’s enrolled children. You will create home-style, nutritious meals within the school menu and budget, and serve meals and snacks to children and staff.

You will follow the Director's daily menu, adhere to USDA and health regulations, maintain inventory, and assist in classrooms as needed. The role offers flexible hours in a family-friendly environment.

Qualifications

• Work experience in cooking and/or food preparation for multiple individuals in a childcare facility.
• Willingness to learn and adhere to all current state and local regulations.
• Flexibility as to the hours and schedule of work.

Responsibilities

• Create home-style, nutritional meal plans in the boundaries of the school's menu and budget, as well as state and federal requirements.
• Prepare meals/snacks for children and staff and distribute food to the classrooms.
• Follow the daily menu provided by the Director which incorporates USDA, licensing, and/or health department regulations.
• Maintain inventory of food and supplies and order more when needed.
