Learning Care Group seeks a Child Care Cook / Food Specialist to prepare nutritious meals in a school setting, aligning with menu guidelines and budgets while meeting state and federal requirements. You will also help in classrooms as needed and assist with inventory management.

The role emphasizes health and safety, organized kitchen operations, and collaboration with the Director and staff to support a positive learning environment for children.

Qualifications

• Experience cooking and/or food preparation for groups in childcare settings.
• Willingness to learn and comply with state/local regulations.
• Flexible hours and schedule adaptability.

Responsibilities

• Prepare home-style, nutritious meals within menu and budget; serve to children and staff.
• Follow daily menu, ensuring USDA/licensing/health regs are met.
• Maintain and reorder food inventory and supplies.
• Assist in classrooms as needed as an Assistant Teacher/Floater.
