Job summary

Little Oaks Discovery School in Texas is seeking a responsible Floater to support classrooms after the lead teacher. The role runs Monday through Friday, 1:00pm to 6:00pm, and involves assisting with activities for all ages while maintaining a safe, clean environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to pass all background checks.
• CDA and 2+ years of experience highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the lead teacher with all aspects of the classroom in a manner consistent with the philosophy and goals of the center.
• Implement activities that encourage each child’s growth in the areas of emotion, social, cognitive, creative, and physical development.
• Take direction, accept constructive criticism, and feedback, and make improvements and changes as necessary for the betterment of the quality of the program.
• Create and maintain an environment that is clean and safe for all children.
• Establishing a professional level of rapport with each family to provide quality care for the children.
• Physical ability to work around small children including sitting, standing, walking, running, and climbing stairs.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. and fulfill all physical requirements of the role.

Little Oaks Discovery School is a licensed childcare center seeking Floaters!

Age group: All ages

To be QUALIFIED for this position, we require a high school diploma OR GED, the ability to pass all background checks and have previous childcare experience. CDA and 2+ years of experience highly preferred!

Required Shift: Monday - Friday, 1:00pm-6:00pm

Compensation: $14-$16/hr., based on education and experience
