Job summary

Child Development Schools seeks an Assistant Teacher to support the Lead Teacher in a warm, engaging classroom environment. You’ll guide hands-on activities, stories, and daily routines that nurture curiosity, kindness, and growth for young learners in Goodyear, AZ.

You’ll collaborate closely with families and educators to create a safe, fun learning space. As part of a supportive teaching team, you’ll help with attendance, daily reports, and development notes while upholding licensing standards

Qualifications

• Experience working with young children and families in an early childhood setting.
• Ability to support lead teacher with age-appropriate activities and documentation.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills for a collaborative classroom.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom meeting licensing and ratio requirements.
• Engage directly with children during activities, meals, transitions, and outdoor time.
• Observe children and share developmental notes with the Lead Teacher.
• Build relationships with families through warm, consistent daily communication.
• Assist with classroom documentation including attendance and daily reports.

From hands‑on activities and storytelling to everyday learning moments, you will help shape a warm and welcoming environment where children feel safe, supported, and excited to explore the world around them.

Your role

As an Assistant Teacher at Child Development Schools, you will help create a classroom filled with discovery, creativity, learning, and joy. Working alongside your Lead Teacher, you will support young learners through meaningful experiences that encourage curiosity, confidence, kindness, and growth. From hands‑on activities and storytelling to everyday learning moments, you will help shape a warm and welcoming environment where children feel safe, supported, and excited to explore the world around them.

You will serve as a trusted partner to families, a positive role model for children, and an important part of our collaborative teaching team dedicated to making early childhood education engaging, nurturing, safe, and fun.

What Your Day Looks Like

• Support the Lead Teacher in delivering age‑appropriate lessons and activities for the classroom
• Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom that meets licensing and ratio requirements

Pay And Benefits

Pay: $15.20-$16.00 per hour, based on experience and education.
