Job summary

Child Development Schools is seeking an Assistant Teacher to join our caring teaching team. You will support the Lead Teacher in delivering engaging activities that nurture curiosity, confidence, kindness, and growth in young learners.

Your role helps create a warm, safe, and joyful classroom where children feel supported to explore and learn. You will engage directly with children, assist with daily routines, document progress, and communicate with families.

Responsibilities

• Support the Lead Teacher in delivering age-appropriate lessons and activities.
• Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom that meets licensing and ratio requirements.
• Engage directly with children during activities, meals, transitions, and outdoor time.
• Observe children and share developmental notes with the Lead Teacher.
• Build relationships with families through warm, consistent daily communication.
• Assist with classroom documentation including attendance and daily reports.

From hands-on activities and storytelling to everyday learning moments, you will help shape a warm and welcoming environment where children feel safe, supported, and excited to explore the world around them.

You will serve as a trusted partner to families, a positive role model for children, and an important part of our collaborative teaching team dedicated to making early childhood education engaging, nurturing, safe, and fun.

What Your Day Looks Like

• Support the Lead Teacher in delivering age-appropriate lessons and activities for the classroom
• Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom that meets licensing and ratio requirements

Pay And Benefits

Pay: $14 per hour, based on experience and education.
