Job summary

The YMCA of Greater Brandywine is hiring a CELC Aide for Upper Main Line YMCA in Berwyn, PA. The role supports a high-quality educational program for children and families, upholding licensing and quality requirements.

Responsibilities include supervising students, maintaining a safe environment, and engaging children in activities, with DHS procedures and strong safety emphasis. Competitive benefits and growth opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

  • Must have a high school diploma or GED.
  • Must keep an up-to-date DHS file.
  • Obtain and maintain all new hire certifications and trainings within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise all students and maintain a safe, clean environment.
  • Provide a safe, risk-free setting and engage children in developmentally appropriate activities.
  • Greet parents and children daily and address concerns with the lead teacher or director.
  • Maintain accident, incident, attendance, sign-in/out records and other logs.
  • Use positive guidance to support children's behavior and participation.
  • Follow DHS procedures and assist others in applying them.
  • Care for children's basic needs as required.
  • Ensure compliance with YMCA of Greater Brandywine policies and SOPs.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

The CELC Aide

The CELC Aide supports the work of the YMCA, a leading nonprofit charitable organization committed to strengthening community through Youth Development Healthy Living and Social Responsibility. What You’ll Do
  • Maintain supervision of all students.
