Job summary

The U.S. Army MWR, Child and Youth Services (CYS) program at Fort Lee, VA, seeks a team leader to ensure high-quality developmental care and instruction for children and youth aged 6 weeks to 18 years.

You will guide staff, implement lesson plans, and maintain health and safety standards across diapering, cleaning, and food service. Candidates must meet age and education requirements, possess relevant certifications, and be prepared for immunization and background checks.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in group programs with children/youth or related education/certifications.
• Ability to lead a program staff and implement developmentally appropriate activities.

Responsibilities

• Lead program staff to provide developmentally appropriate care and instruction for children and youth from 6 weeks to 18 years.
• Implement activities to promote social, emotional, physical and cognitive growth.
• Instruct staff with written instructions, reference materials and supplies.
• Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and schedules.
• Ensure health and safety standards in diapering, toileting, hand washing, cleaning and food service.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
