Job summary

Navy Region Northwest Fleet and Family Readiness (FFR) is seeking a CYP Assistant to work directly with children and youth, actively engaging them in developmentally appropriate activities and ensuring safety within the CY program. The role involves coordinating curriculum, supervising activities, and maintaining communication with parents and staff.

The position requires compliance with DoD and local guidelines, successful background checks, and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Resumes must include KSAs related to this position.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to promote and foster effective working relationships with children, youth, and coworkers.
• One year of experience in a child and youth setting (for Target level).

Responsibilities

• Develops schedules and activity plans for children and youth.
• Implements activities that meet physical, social, emotional, and cognitive needs.
• Creates and maintains indoor and outdoor activity spaces.
• supervises participants during daily activities and field trips.
• Communicates with parents and staff about program activities and participant progress.
• Ensures compliance with DoD and local policies and standards.
