Job summary

The CYP Assistant position within Navy Region Northwest Fleet and Family Readiness supports DoD Child and Youth Programs by directly engaging children and youth, keeping them safe, active, and well cared for. Qualifications

• Completion of required DoD/Navy training and background checks is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Provides care and supervision for program participants in line with DoD and local policies.
• Maintains control of and safety of children and youth during activities and field trips.
• Supervises participants during indoor/outdoor activities and ensures departure with authorized person.
• Observes participants for illness, abuse, or neglect and reports as directed.
• Interacts professionally with employees, parents, and installation command personnel.
• Documents developmental progression and planning information for program evaluation.
