Job summary

Alamance County Government is seeking a CPS Supervisor to guide frontline Child Protective Services teams. You will lead assessments, supervise social workers, and ensure the safety and well-being of children and families served.

This role requires a master’s or bachelor’s in social work or related field with several years of directly related experience and a proven ability to manage crisis situations and complex cases.

Qualifications

• Master’s in social work with 2+ years directly related experience.
• Bachelor’s in social work with 3+ years directly related experience.
• Master’s in a human services field with 3+ years directly related experience.
• Bachelor’s in a human services field with 4+ years directly related experience.
• Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years directly related experience.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, mentor, and empower a team of social workers and support staff.
• Oversee case planning, assignments, coordination of services, and crisis management.
• Provide expert training, guidance, and ongoing development for the team.
• Review casework for quality, compliance, and impactful service delivery.
• Participate in rotational on-call support for emergencies.
