Job summary

State of Georgia is seeking a qualified Child Welfare Services Case Supervisor for Clayton County within the Department of Human Services. The role supervises a social services unit handling investigations and comprehensive case management for at-risk children and families, ensuring timely actions and collaboration with legal systems.

Qualifications include a Bachelor's in Social Work and three years of related experience; telework opportunities may be available depending on position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and three years of case management experience OR one year at a lower level (SSP072)
• Experience in child welfare case management or related protective services preferred
• Strong ability to supervise staff and coordinate services with legal and community partners

Responsibilities

• Supervise and plan the work of assigned staff.
• Directly oversee a unit providing investigative and comprehensive case management for child abuse/neglect.
• Ensure timely safety actions and follow-up per agency policy and legal requirements.
• Coordinate in-home and out-of-home services for children and families.
• Maintain documentation, prepare reports, and monitor case progress.
