Job summary

The State of Georgia, Department of Human Services, is seeking a Child Welfare Services Case Manager 1 in Augusta to protect children and support families. You will learn and perform investigative and comprehensive case management for cases involving abuse or neglect, under supervision, with a focus on safety planning and permanency outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• Experience in child welfare is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Initiates timely face-to-face responses to screened-in reports of alleged child maltreatment.
• Develops and implements safety plans to address safety concerns.
• Conducts diligent search efforts to locate the child/family when contact is unavailable.
• Implements SBC and partners with families to develop Family Functioning Agreement and Action Plan.
• Completes genograms to identify family support networks.
• Collaborates with community partners to create systems of support.
• Ensures frequent and quality visits to ensure safety, permanency, and well-being.
• Documents case management activities within policy time frames.
• Routinely serves on after-hours on-call duty.
