State of Georgia is seeking a Child Welfare Services Case Manager 1 in Savannah to respond to reports of maltreatment, assess safety, and plan permanency for children. You will work with families, perform genograms, and collaborate with community partners to build support systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• DHS credential verification by CHEA/DOE may be considered.
• DHS will contact educational institutions to verify degree, diploma, licensure, etc.
• As a DHS employee you may be required to assist in emergency responsibilities.
• Due to high application volume, status inquiries by phone or email may not be provided.
• All qualified applicants will be considered but interview is not guaranteed.

Responsabilités

• Initiates timely, face-to-face responses to screened-in reports of child maltreatment.
• Develops and implements safety plans to address safety concerns.
• Locates child/family when contact is unavailable; conducts diligent search.
• Implements Solution Based Casework (SBC).
• Partners with families to develop Family Functioning Agreement, Action Plan, and Family Plan.
• Completes genograms to identify family support networks.
• Collaborates with community partners to create systems of support for children and families.
• Ensures visits with children and families are adequate to ensure safety and well-being.
• Identifies and addresses the physical, educational, and mental health needs of children and caregivers.
• Establishes permanency goals and ensures stable foster placements.
• Maintains connections to neighborhood, community, faith, extended family, school, and friends.
• Fosters positive relationships between child(ren) in care and their biological parents/caretakers.
• Documents case management activities within policy timeframes.
• Celebrates positive outcomes with children and family.
• Utilizes private vehicles for work-related travel.
• Routinely serves on after-hours on-call duty.
• Engages in ongoing learning and professional development.
