State of Georgia is seeking a Child Welfare Services Case Manager 1 in Americus, Sumter County, GA. The role supports the Division of Family & Children Services in safeguarding children, coordinating services, and ensuring permanency for fostered children within a structured, policy-driven environment.

Responsibilities include initiating investigations, developing safety plans, coordinating with families and partners, and documenting activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.

Responsabilités

• Initiates timely, face-to-face responses to screened-in reports of alleged child maltreatment and conducts assessments addressing safety concerns.
• Develops and implements safety plans to address identified safety concerns.
• Conducts diligent search efforts to locate the child/family when contact is not possible.
• Implements Solution Based Casework (SBC).
• Collaborates with children and parents on the Family Functioning Agreement, Action Plan, and Family Plan to achieve outcomes.
• Assesses the physical, educational, and mental/behavioral health needs of children and families.
• Maintains connections to community, school, faith, extended family, and friends.
• Documents case management activities within policy time frames.
